Media Tanam Anthurium. Hampir semua tanaman hias memerlukan media yg gemur, pouros, subur, cukup mengadung, bahan organic, bebas dari hama, aerasi dan drainese yang baik, untuk menciptakan kondisi tersebut maka media tanam yang ideal adalah campuran bahan organik dan bahan anorganik.

Bahan organik dapat berupa cacahan pakis, kompos, humus, serutan kayu (tai gergaji), arang sekam, cocopeat, dll. Sedangkan bahan anorganik berupa tanah, pasir, pasir malang.

Komposisi media yang digunakan untuk setiap nursery pasti berbeda-beda tergantung dari kondisi iklim setempat, campuran media tanam yang dapat digunakan diantaranya :

sekam bakar, andam ( kaliandra ) dan pupuk kadang yang telah steril dengan perbandingan 1:1:1.
humus, pupuk kandang steril dan pasir malang yang telah diayak halus dengan perbandingan 5:5:2
untuk menjaga kelembaban media dan mengatur drainese yang baik maka pertama-tama pot diisi terlebih dahulu dengan pecahan bata merah, pecahan genting, Styrofoam, dice coco ( sabut kelapa yang dipotong dadu ), sampai ¼ pot setelah itu baru media tanamnya diisi hingga penuh.

Perbanyakan Sanse Cara Potong Daun. Berikut adalah teknik dan trik perbanyakan sanse menurut Iwan Hendrayanta, kolektor sanse di Permata Hijau, Jaksel.

Siapkan tanaman induk bahan cacah. Induk mesti sehat dengan panjang daun minimal 15-20 cm.
Potong-potong daun sepanjang 5 cm. Susun potongan daun di tempat terpisah supaya tidak terbalik bagian pangkal dan ujung. Bila salah menanam-bagian ujung yang ditancapkan ke media-tunas tak bakalan muncul.
Seluruh bagian daun dapat digunakan, termasuk pangkal. Daun yang lebar, dibagi dua.
Siapkan pot. Lubangi lagi bagian dasar yang masih tertutup supaya air siraman tidak mengendap. Itu mengurangi risiko busuk.
Letakkan styrofoam di dasar pot untuk menambah porositas dan aerasi lancar.
Masukkan media pasir hingga Â½-Â¾ volume pot.
Olesi pangkal cacahan daun sansevieria dengan perangsang akar. Olesi ujung daun dengan fungisida untuk menghindari busuk.
Tanam cacahan daun di media, lalu pendam dengan sisa media hingga mendekati bibir pot.
Hasil tanam, jangan disiram dan kena hujan hingga 3 minggu. Letakkan di tempat ternaungi.
Anakan siap dipisahkan setelah 4-5 bulan atau memiliki 3 daun. Sebetulnya bila daun sehat, anakan dengan 1 daun pun siap dipisah.
Tanam anakan di media campuran pasir dan sekam bakar dengan perbandingan 1:1. Perawatan selanjutnya seperti tanaman dewasa. Pemberian pupuk 2 kali seminggu diberikan lewat daun.

Memilih Bibit Jenmanji. Hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam membeli bibit Jenmanii adalah usahakan untuk melihat induknya. Dengan tahu indukannya, meski tidak ada jaminan dari penjual kalau bibitannya nanti seperti induknya, sedikit-banyak kita bisa tenang. Bagaimana kalau tidak bisa melihat indukannya, karena selama ini banyak pedagang yang menjual bibitan bukan dari hasil dari indukannya sendiri melainkan dari orang lain? Ada beberapa hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan, yakni:
1. Daun tebal
Daun tebal umumnya dihasilkan dari induk yang bagus, contohnya Cobra, Sawi, Pagoda, Piton, Entong, Daun Nangka dan sebagainya. Kalaupun saat dewasa tidak memiliki karakter, jenmanii berdaun tebal masih memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi.

2. Serat menonjol
Serat harus menonjol. Pada bibitan tiga empat daun, biasanya serat daun sudah nampak. Semakin besar, semakin jelas pula seratnya. Karena serat merupakan salah satu tanda jenmanii berkualitas, maka jenmanii berserat menonjol memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi.

3. Daun lebar
Pilih daun yang lebar, atau bibitan yang berdaun lebar. Karena kemungkinan besar saat dewasa akan memiliki karakter, entah jadi mangkuk, sweta atau lainnya. Tapi tidak berarti daun agak memanjang itu jelek.

Praktis Mencipta Dwarf Arabicum. Sebelumnya, pastilah masih ada diantara kita yang bingung dengan makna arti kata Arabicum Dwarf, yang mana arti sebenarnya adalah tanaman adenium jenis arabicum yang kuntet, cabang-cabangnya tidak meninggi, sementara caudex (bonggol bawahnya) akan melebar, disertai kerutan-kerutan yang akan menampakkan kesan ketuaan pada si kuntet ini. Hingga dia nampak jadi begitu eksotis. Ada beberapa langkah Praktis Mencipta Dwarf Arabicum di antaranya sebagai berikut :

Langkah pertama:
Kita memilih hanya dari biji yang
segar dan sehat dari tiga jenis di atas.

Langkah kedua:
kita musti menggunakan media khusus termasuk pengaturan kadar air dan penyiraman, yang dapat menyuburkan pertumbuhan biji agar tumbuh lebih baik dan lebih cepat dan menghasilkan bentuk terbaik.

Langkah ketiga:
Setelah kecambah biji tumbuh dari media khusus antara 2-3 hari, Kita memperhatikan pertumbuhan benih dengan teliti dan mengikuti tahap-tahap pertumbuhan sampai berumur 6 bulan

Langkah keempat:
Bentuk terbaik adalah berbentuk seperti crown (mahkota) dengan caudex yang gemuk don pastikan kulit cabang hijau. Cabang hijau berarti seedling dapat tumbuh besar dan besar. Beberapa mungkin dapat tergoncang saat tumbuh, sebelum benar-benar sehat yang akhirnya dapat kehilangan bentuk bagus.

Solusinya, potong bagian tanaman yang terserang, dan semprot tanaman dengan insektisida, seperti Decis 2,5, atau Curakron dengan dosis yang dianjurkan pada label kemasan. Penyemprotan sebaiknya dilakukan pada sore hari agar tidak menguap.Untuk menghalau semut, bisa menggunakan Furadan.

Little Anthura in Cibeber. The name Kanamon might not sound familiar. It is the name of a village in Cibeber Subdistrict, about 20 km away from the capital of Cianjur Regency. In this village, PT Ekakarya Graha Flora built 12 shading houses measuring 0,5 ha on the altitude of 600—700 m asl to grow flaminggo flowers of which seeds are bought from Anthura, Neth erlands, the paradise of flaminggo flowers.

The atmsophere in the shading houses is indeed like the atmosphere in Anthura. Each shading house looks very much like a house of rainbow as there are thousands of spathe in rainbow colors cropping up among green foliage. For example the red pico bello; pink baleno; and green pistache.

In total there are 46 varieties of flaminggo flower grown there. Twenty out of the total varieties are grown as pot plants, while the rest are grown as cut flowers. Cucu Wijaya of the planning program & product inventory control said that the number of varieties grown there may be increase in 1—2 years to come. Step1
