This is Lanny Rachmansyah's proof of love toward bromelia for 15 years. On a 3.500 m² land in Cisarua, Bogor, neoregelia, nidularium, and guzmania are spread under the shade of 70 m² net. In another part, the bromeliaceae family creates an exotic garden. The beauty of 700 pots of bromeliads family record the journey of the wife of the former Indonesian soldier (TNI) high rank officer traveling around Asia with her husband.
Now, among the bromelia hobbyists, Lanny is well known as the true collector. “Perhaps she is the only collector who collects bromelia in well kept condition the longest and the most,” said Etje harjati Anggoro, a bromelia grower in Pondokcabe, Tangerang, who has involved in bromelia world since 18 months ago. What Etje said is indeed reasonable. Trubus investigation found that there are many bromelia collections belonged to collectors at the end of 90s in bad condition since the collectors have changed course either to anthurium or aglaonema.
